Halloween: The Game ships in two editions. Standard has the base game; Deluxe adds 4-day early access, two Michael skins, two exclusive civilians and a post-launch surprise.
Halloween: The Game is a multiplayer role-playing survival horror game where you either become the masked killer or stand up to him. On Steam the game sells in exactly two editions — Standard and Deluxe — and the differences between them are easy to summarize once someone lays them out. This page does exactly that.
Standard Edition
The Standard Edition is the base game and nothing else. You get the full 1v4 asymmetric experience in Haddonfield, the complete Michael's story campaign — The Night He Came Home — and every future balance patch. No cosmetics, no early access, no extras.
Deluxe Edition
The Deluxe Edition also contains the base game, then stacks four extra things on top:
- 4-day early access — Deluxe owners start playing on September 4, 2026, four days before the full launch.
- "Phantom" Michael Myers skin — an exclusive look for the killer.
- "Inmate" Michael Myers skin — a second exclusive killer look.
- Two exclusive civilian characters — Richard and Alexis, playable only through this edition.
IllFonic also lists a final line item: mystery surprise content that unlocks for Deluxe owners after launch. What it contains has not been revealed.
The Part Both Editions Share
One detail applies no matter which version you buy: preordering either edition gets you the "Phantom" Michael Myers skin. That makes the skin the preorder bonus rather than a Deluxe exclusive — Deluxe simply adds the Inmate skin and the two civilians on top of it.
If you only care about playing at launch, Standard covers it. If you want to start four days earlier — and keep the extra cosmetics — Deluxe is the one with the goods. Price for both editions is on its own page.
