Halloween: The Game Purple Items — Lantern, Talisman and Hourglass

The three purple epic items in Halloween: The Game: what the Lantern, Talisman and Hourglass do, how to trigger each, and why they are all consumables.
Purple is the rarest color in Haddonfield loot pools. Three epic items share it — the Lantern, the Talisman and the Hourglass — and all three are strong enough to change a match. They are also all consumables: once the effect triggers, the item is gone.

Lantern
What it does: activates with a left-click while held, lighting up with a green glow that reveals Michael's position — and per the item's full listing, its aura lights shadowed ground and disables his Shape Jump and stealth while he stands in it.
How to use it: hold it, click, and read the light. It is the difference between guessing where the Shape is and knowing — either to avoid him or to finish an escape in peace.

Talisman
What it does: a passive one-time shield. When Michael grabs you, the Talisman blocks the grab automatically — no struggle prompt, no QTE — and briefly staggers him while you break away.
How to use it: put it in your bag and forget about it until the worst moment of the match, when it does its job without being asked. Carrying one is the closest thing to a guaranteed second life.
Hourglass
What it does: two functions in one item.
- While carried: highlights all escape-related items within 10 meters — keys, bolt cutters, fuses. The looting compass.
- When thrown at Michael: freezes him in place — a hard stop to any chase.
How to use it: keep it in the inventory while you loot, and save the throw for the chase you cannot otherwise break. Note that sources disagree on this item's name — some call it a watch — but the hourglass-shaped item with these two effects is the same thing; the function list is what matters.
One Warning for All Three
Every purple item is consumed on use. The Lantern burns out, the Talisman shatters, the Hourglass is gone with the throw. Treat them as single-use trump cards for high-risk matches — and check the items guide for how they fit next to the common loot.
